No, it’s not your imagination… they are blatantly ignoring your advertising. I’m going to give you insight about how a significant segment of your prospects are actually hiding from you, and how you can fix this fast! I found out this shocking (and perhaps, quite unsettling) news a few weeks ago at an industry trade show in Toronto. It was held at the Capitol Banquet Center, actually just west of Toronto, and a variety of Marketing Managers, Office Managers, Human Resource Managers and other high level business people were surveyed. We learned some fascinating facts about marketing and promotional products:
-15-20% of adults between 17 and 35 go out of their way to dodge traditional advertising (BAM – that’s the one that hit me like a ton of bricks!)
-More than half of consumers have a favorable impression of the advertiser on a promotional products (They got something for free!)
-20% of consumers make a purchase after receiving a promotional product
-83% of consumers could recall an advertiser from a promotional product It was a great opportunity to hear directly from customers about their interests and concerns when it comes to effective marketing and promotional products.
